Jail Ministry

“I was in prison and you came to visit me … I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:36, 40). The Scriptures give us insight into God’s heart for prison ministry.

FIRST IMPRESSION TEAM

A welcomed smile puts our guest at ease and a cheerful greeting put our guest at ease. The greeters initiates the first contact with our guests. As a greeter you will provide information to our guests, direct them to classes, nursery, sanctuary, restrooms, etc. Yours is a vital ministry as you start our guest on their journey to a wonderful worship experience.

MEDIA MINISTRY

Media ministry is an essential part of our church. The effective use of media and technology plays an important role in communicating the gospel in a dynamic wayIf you are creative, purpose driven and are up to date on the latest technology, we’re looking for you. The Media Ministry is an exciting way to serve our body and connect with the people.

SERVANT’S HEART

Servant’s Heart ministry provides meals and care to those who have returned from the hospital. This ministry models Ephesians 6:7 (NLT), which states, “Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than people” and 1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV), “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be you steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord”.

INTERCESSORY PRAYER

To pray, intercede, stand in the gap, and war on behalf of our church, the universal and local body of Christ, homes, communities and salvation of the lost. We persist in prayer for the Pastor, leaders, and members of SFWC regarding any specific or general need. We believe that there is power in prayer, power in the name of the Lord and power in the Word of God. Our purpose is to intercede on behalf of others as the Spirit of God leads us.

GROUND MAINTENANCE

Our mission is to glorify God by keeping the grounds manicured and maintaining the upkeep of the church facility; to maintain and care for the outside appearance of the church grounds and landscaping including trees, and shrubbery.

TRANSPORTATION

Our transportation team needs you. The Transportation Ministry was created to provide a means of transportation for all who are in need to come to worship at Sunset Family Worship Center. Our goal is to always provide a safe and convenient way for all members and non-members to attend various church services and functions.

MUSIC MINISTRY

The role music plays in developing and growing our ministry cannot be overstated. This is because the worship experience is not only about hearing a message or learning a new interpretation of a scripture. A complete and fulfilling worship experience involves creating the atmosphere for worship through music.

FOOD BANK

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” Matthew 25:35 Recognizing that God has blessed us to be a blessing, the Sunset Family Worship Center serves as a vehicle to share the resources God has showered on us with those in need in our church and community.

NURSING HOME

Volunteering in a Nursing Home can be a very rewarding experience. Giving your time, talent and skills can truly make a difference in the lives of others. As a volunteer, you could be that much needed friend, that ear who will listen to fascinating stories of the past and present. There are various tasks that some elderly residents are no longer able to perform for themselves. Join the team to extend the hands of Christ to our nursing home family. Make a difference, be the difference.

USHER MINISTRY

The Usher Ministry strives to prayerfully promote an atmosphere where all those entering the church will feel welcomed, to meet the needs of the Pastor and congregation during service, and to keep distractions to a minimum. Also to ensure that order is kept in and around the church at all times; and to do whatever possible to advance God’s kingdom and this church.
